The training will include a review of current IDVA legislation and highlight areas of state and federal law likely to be included on the CPAIP certification exam.

There will be a breakout for those taking the ICPAIP test. Exam topics covered during this breakout include philosophy of abuser services, the batterer, assessment skills, intervention methods, the role of a facilitator and cultural issues. The ICDVP breakout topics include dynamics of domestic violence, historical and feminist perspectives, and serving domestic violence victims. The training will also include a segment focusing on successful strategies for standardized test taking.
